Assistant Community Manager
OVERVIEW
A manufactured housing community in Osseo, Minnesota — around 240 homesites — is looking for an Assistant Community Manager to help run day-to-day operations. You'll support the Community Manager across prospect tours, resident billing, and everyday problem solving, stepping in to lead when they're out. No real estate background required — just strong customer service or sales instincts and a willingness to learn.
💼 WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Support the Community Manager in running day-to-day operations, and step in to lead the community when they're out
- Keep homes and the community show-ready, and move every prospect to the next step without delay
- Walk residents through the application and lease-signing process when a resident-owned home sells to a new resident
- Help make sure rent is billed accurately and collected on time, keeping delinquency low
- Prepare and deliver required legal notices and payment agreements, in line with state law and Fair Housing standards
- Build a resident experience people actually want to renew — respond to issues with urgency and follow through
- Generate Google reviews, resolve resident tickets, and keep resident ledgers and billing accurate
- Keep work orders moving so they're resolved within 48 hours
- Keep homesites and common areas looking sharp, coordinating with grounds vendors and following up on mystery shop action plans
🤝 WHY YOU MATTER
You're often the first person a resident or prospect talks to, and the one who keeps things running when the Community Manager can't be there. That's what makes you the difference between a community that runs smoothly and one that doesn't.
🎓 WHAT IT TAKES
- 1+ year of customer service, sales, or administrative experience — manufactured housing or property management background is welcome but not required
- Comfortable juggling a busy front office: prospects, resident requests, paperwork, and the occasional emergency, all in the same day
- Clear, friendly communicator who can deliver a hard message (a late notice, a lease issue) without losing the relationship
- Organized enough to keep ledgers, billing, and work orders accurate and on schedule
- Comfortable stepping into a leadership role when needed, even if it's not your usual day-to-day
- Detail-oriented — the kind of person who notices when a homesite needs attention before someone complains about it
- Genuinely enjoys people — residents, prospects, and vendors alike
🏆 THE PERKS!
- $18.00–$21.00 per hour
- Medical coverage (Aetna PPO and HDHP options, with Garner reimbursement and an HSA), plus dental and vision through Unum
- Employer-paid $25,000 life and AD&D insurance
- 401(k) with a 6% company match
- Generous PTO and paid holidays
